Kiosks are no longer a novelty. They handle order entry at quick-service restaurants, check-in at hotel front desks, wayfinding in hospital lobbies, ticketing at transit hubs, and self-checkout across retail. For companies with hundreds or thousands of locations, managing all the kiosks across all these locations is an IT challenge on its own.
TekkioKiosk is a kiosk management solution that integrates seamlessly with TekkioHub, allowing you to remotely control hundreds or thousands of kiosk endpoints with ease.
Each kiosk runs on a Raspberry Pi 5 booting Anchor Linux -- Tekkio's own minimal, security-hardened operating system. On startup, the Tekkio kiosk daemon launches Firefox directly on the device in full-screen kiosk mode via Cage, a lightweight Wayland compositor. There are no virtual machines, no remote desktop sessions, and no dependency on the cluster for rendering. The application runs locally on the device, which keeps latency low, keeps the network footprint small, and means the kiosk continues displaying its last-known content even if connectivity to the cluster is temporarily interrupted.
This architecture sets TekkioKiosk apart from both traditional kiosk management platforms and Unified Endpoint Management solutions. UEM tools are built around the assumption that endpoints run general-purpose operating systems that need to be locked down, patched, and monitored at the OS level -- a significant overhead for a device whose entire job is to display a URL. TekkioKiosk inverts that model: the device runs only what it needs to run, the OS surface is minimal by design, and management is handled entirely through the URL the cluster serves. There is nothing to patch on the endpoint beyond Anchor Linux itself, and no configuration that can drift independently of what TekkioHub defines.
One platform to deploy, monitor, and manage infrastructure at every location.
Reduce the truck rolls, the downtime and the overhead.
